I would go for something that is easier to drive. I have very nice sound in my second system with the now discontinued Rega Naos speakers driven by an ARC VT-100. I would suggest something along those lines, the Reference 3A speakers are very nice and they now have some floor standers available. Based on the impressive sound I heard from the De Capos, I will certainly go audition their larger speaker that seems to have retained the minimalist cross-over despite having two larger bass drivers. From having owned Thiel 3.5s for many many years and from what I have read, Thiels are not the easiest things to drive with lower powered tube amps.
