Is the internal wiring soldered, or push-on connectors? Either way, a couple of good bumps in the road, and it could either break a solder joint, or knock the connectors loose. If you're getting nothing at all, I would imagine the problem is right behind the input terminals, that is if your amp really is working.

A quick test to try: Take a 9V battery, voltage not too critical, but 9Vs seem to work well, and hold one speaker wire to one terminal, and quickly "brush" the other wire across the other terminal. If everything is connected inside, and all is working, you should hear "static", or something that sounds like a bad volume pot being turned.
