I hear and see so many speakers that sound absolutely wonderful to me otherwise but miss that last little bit of bottom end that makes some of my listening come alive for me. I don't need 1970's Cerwin Vegas - just a clean, taut 30 Hz or so. But I will audition even those without it that come highly recommended because I could be wrong and just not have heard the right speaker yet.

Part of it also is my huge room - the bass gets lost in it. Many otherwise great speakers just don't get it done in an 18 x 24 room with 22 foot ceilings!
