"As a consequence, it is hard to find a mid/bass driver to match them to in a 2-way design."I think that's why the 3/4 inch domes are usually used as "supertweeters" in a three-way design (Spendor SP 1/2, NHT Classic 3, Harbeth Super HL5...), where they seem to create a lot of balance and sparkle without calling attention to themselves in the process.
