Thanks. Do you happen to know what your ear level is in your chair?The not stable part is a little worrysom. I'm also a little concerned about how they will mate with my floor. A little reading suggests that spikes/footers are not a good idea with these stands. I would have to blue tack them to couple them to the floor as well as compensate for the slight unevenness of the floor so they don't wobble. Maybe not a big deal, not sure.
Not sure I want to spend $400 on stands that aren't so stable, might be too high for my listening chair, might be difficult to couple to my floor and so on. I'll definitely have to see if my local JMR dealer has a pair I can demo.
