Re: Questions on H.H. Scott Speakers

Thanks All for the input!
Next question:When I first brought these home they didn't sound so good playing through my Luxman solidstate job.I Did have them hooked up right after all. After a couple of weeks or so they started sounding really good and really good bass, not that overshooting upper bass kind either. So I'm thinking of upgrading the crossovers and up for suggestions. Each crossover consists of two coils(marked L1.5 and L1.1A),two caps 20uf and16uf(NP Callins brand), two resistors 2 ohm and 5 ohm 10% 5watt and a toggle switch with two resistors.I'm thinking of going with either Dayton or Solens and Mills for the resistors from Parts Express considering the price.Don't know if I should replace the coils, they get expensive.By the way these speakers were made in 1976, says so on the inside of the cabinets.Plan to push these with a Eico ST-40 20 watt tubey job that I'm still putting parts together for. M.P.
