I recently went through this and I picked up a set of JBL controlXone mini-monitors. I have them powered by my trusty NAD integrated hooked up to my PC. I am quite impressed with these little guys. I have been trying to match a sub to them, but they sound great on their own... far better then any PC combo speakers I have heard anyway.-Yashu
