Interesting. I now recall the felt page from a while back but had forgotten it. Still wish I knew more about the effects of shortening the cabinet while deepening it. Apparently in the non real world tests Mr. Unruh did he mentioned a second impulse which I took as a soundwave coming off the back wall of the speaker. I'm hopeful that with only a small difference in cabinet size the insulation in the cabinet would ameliorate that difference from the original design intent. I'm somewhat doubtful that back of cabinet reflection is what he's referring to but it is a concern in my project in any case. Thanks for your input.
