Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Well maybe

buying from a "prick" was the first mistake you made! I've had planar speakers since 1978 and I've only blown fuses twice, not the drivers (ribbons-quasi ribbons-mid panels-bass panels) Are they more delicate than conventional speakers? In some ways I guess so, but if you keep cats and little fingers from scratching and pushing, I don't think they are. Now if you are running distorted power at high volumes, I don't know any speaker that will be ok being abused over time....
