General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Re:Foaming

Hi,
Also check out the kits at Partsexpress.com. I just did my first re-foam on a pair of thrift store Advents a few months ago, it was easy, even for ME! Basically, if you have eyesight and don't have Parkinson's, you can do this. The video mentioned below sounds nice, but the written instructions and the job are straight forward enough you don't need the video.

The job shouldn't take more than 1-2 hrs/speaker, not counting some set up time for the glue between processes. Let the glue cure overnight and you can re-install them the next day and begin breaking them in slowly.

Weigh that against the extra $ plus $ for shipping, AND the 2-3 weeks transit and "in que" time at the shop. Even if you attempt it and decide you can't/don't want to do it, you can always send 'em in and you're really not out all that much.

Good luck and let us know,
Scott A.
