Re: Dynaudio Audience 82 or B&W 703 w/ 100-watt tube amp

100 tube watts for either speaker is fine, more so than you think. I drive a pair of B&W 800's with a pair of 140 watt mono tube amps with no problems in a 20 x 14 room.

Going from solid state to tubes, most of the time you will notice a difference in bass, with the solid state amps having a more pronounced bottom end. I have integrated a subwoofer using the Velodyne SMS-1 subwoofer ccontroller and had room tuning also done.
