if the simplest way would simply be to try an add-on pair of super-tweeters and face them to the rear.Super-tweeters tend to have their own crossovers with roll-off slopes that ensure that the super-tweeter is active down to around the 10-12 kHz area, possibly even lower, in order to blend in with the tweeter of the speaker they are supplementing. They also have level adjustments. They definitely don't, and won't, go as low as the tweeter in the speaker they are supplementing but if the goal is to provide that little extra bit of openness, or a more diffuse sound field for the surrounds in a multi-channel system, this may be an easy way to achieve it.
If anyone knows a dealer who is prepared to lend a pair of super-tweeters for a few days and cares to try them at home, we might get some interesting comments.
