Having gone down this very road in my younger days, I have to ask what U are trying to accomplish? A more open sound?I procured some high end Boston Acoustics NEO 1T tweeters/X-over and tried to implement them into a pair of Fried Beta by mounting them on the upper half of the back panel and firing them at an upward angle.
The difference in the tweeters acoustic characteristics ended up being more of a distraction than anything and yes I did play around with X-over frequency/slope and never could get a seemless blend.
Address your room acoustics first then see if U need to add the rear tweeters.
