I would like to add the following:Acoustat Spectra 2200: More transparent than the 1+1 (I have them both and now Spectra 4400). They can take the best gear in the world and just keep sounding better with each upgrade.
Apogee Duetta Signature (or Diva in a big room): Very transparent and revealing of gear and when set up properly simply one of the best.
I would second the Thiel CS3.6...one of the best box speakers I know.
Infinity Renaissance 90: A bit ruthless in the treble so great amps mandatory but near electrostatic sound with good bass.
