Dali Helicon with Mccormack DNA-1 Rev B Vert Biamp

I just posted this on the Preamp/Amp Asylum and thought it might be of interest here as well.

I am writing in a pleasure-motivated testimonial to the quality of the DNA-1 Rev B (Silver) upgrade. I received the first upgraded amp acouple of months ago and played it in my system with Dali Helicon 400's (Theta Miles as transport with Reimyo DP777 DAC; Lyra Helikon cart with SOTA Star Sapphire table). The change in quality with the single amp was remarkable with greater range and imaging immediately obvious to the ear. I could compare easily since I had two DNA-1's.

I listened to the system in vert biamp mode prior to the upgrades. Clearly there was a substantial improvement. The revisions, however, have made a huge difference. With the addition of the second DNA-1 Rev B added in vertical biamp mode the soundstage has blossomed, any sense of box is gone both in digital and in analogue playback. The detailed imaging and relaxed, natural sound quality are impressive.
