...I needed both, the 901s' EQ, and then a graphic EQ to tame same nasty room nodes. They really take charge of a room though.Added super tweeters to better match the rear drivers so HF energy would dance about the room. Pretty gratifying overall for a coliseum sound.
BTW, Over two decades my 901's changed contour-- needed changes in mid and high EQ settings. Could have been my hearing, to some extent, as well.
