Caps have different ESR, and sometimes this was taken into account in the crossover filter design.
Thus, a better cap will not always sound better.
I have drastically improved some speakers using better caps, and I have also ruined some too.TRY and save the old caps, in case the new ones do not work out.
Or, keep trying new ones until you find some that do.For a cheap cap, I have had luck with Bennic Polyproplyne's, and like them better generally then Solens.
Auricaps are a step up, and then Mundorf and Jensen, and wonder caps.
