Hello,I have some Audio Note J LX. These are the less expensive ones wrapped in vinyl woodgrain, from whenever they still did that.
Anyway, on some music, I am getting distortion from (I think) the tweeter. It is a little like a Kazoo is doing a duet with the singer/music. It is only on certain discs, and is only at certain frequencies. It is, however, consistently there -- same points on the same discs, and when it is there, it is very distracting.
It is only in one speaker, and it switched sides when I moved the speakers, so I think it is safe to say it is the speaker. I checked all connections, and they are tight.
I NEVER play these loudly, so I am not sure what I may have done to cause this.
Any insight would be appreciated. Does this seem like I need a new tweeter? Is this expensive for this speaker?
thank you
