Got some techno, with some deep, fast, driving, synth-bass?Of course, also bring your favorite music, and music that you like to listen to most and are most familiar with. Play your familiar stuff at different volume levels.
A good test for a speaker to see how boomy it makes the bass. Are you bringing along your amps? If not, and it's a shop, - do they have amps that are of similar character to yours? I know that it could be hard, but try to duplicate YOUR listening environment and associated gear as much as you can. If it's a brick and mortar shop, try not to let yourself be influenced by what they think is a good match, but focus on what gear you are planning to match with the VSs, or already have.
