Well I've had my pair since the early 90's, I believe it was 1992, but I'd have to look up my receipt. I was able to purchase them in Turin and import them to the US.

As of now they are the only constant in my system. While everything in my system has changed the Extremas remain and most likely will last as long as I do.

I continue to visit audio solons and have yet to hear a speaker for under $20k that has had me think about replacing the Extremas. This is not to say that in a head-to-head comparison some could not be better, but not to the point that I would actually put a dealer or myself through the effort.

The speakers continue to perform flawlessly and the only maintenance I have had on them was to tighten the driver bolts/screws.
