After 15 years of some very basic audio equipment, I'd like to upgrade several components. I currently have a Yamaha RXV-2400 receiver, Velodyne sub, and just recently replaced my Theil floorspeakers (CS 1.2's) with JMLab Utopia Diva's. I'd like to look for a new pre-amp/amp, as well as a sub-wolfer. My local audio store is pushing me to look at Classe for the pre amp/amp and Rel for the sub. Is this the best choice? I know a tube amp may sound the best, but I really wuld like to stay with solid state. I'm also considering a new JMlab center channel to match the Diva's.
Any recommendation would be helpful.Thx.
