I have heard all of the speakers on your list except for the Merlins. I know you're interested in finding out which of these is the "more liked" speaker, but at this price point between these contenders, there really is no best or worst, only more applicable to someone's specific tastes. If you're thinking about spending this much on a speaker, you'd be doing a disservice to yourself by not auditioning the Wilson Sophias even though they're a little more money, about $11,000 I think. If I had either the cremonas, 802s, or MLs, even though they all have a good sound when setup properly, all I would think about is how much I'd rather be listening to my music on the Sophias. They are THE speaker to beat in the $15,000 or under class in my opinion. I didn't know what how much good dynamics contribute to the music before hearing these. B&W's good for dynamics too, but I haven't been too impressed with midrange quality + highs (a bit tizzy for my tastes) in the numerous B&W systems I've heard. Granted, I have not heard the Merlins, so I don't have an opinion on those. They excel in classical, jazz, rock.
Good luck, and don't rush it. Take a plane trip to hear all these speakers so you can decide which you like best.
