The speaker need to be *exactly* 50 cm from back wall, and 1 meter from side walls or a bit more.Tonality and setup are very specific, as is the choice of cables.
There should be a slight toe in also.
Nothing is hidden on properly set up KEF 104/2.
I am convinced after talking to a KEF tech that the 104/2 underwent some internal changes after 1987.
The KUBE induces a veiling effect and does smear the image. It helps with the bass, but messes other things up.
