There actually *was* a Q70. It was a 3rd-generation UniQ driver though, and they're now in their 5th generation.I have a 4th generation UniQ (Q65.2) and it sounded very good in stock form (much better now with upgraded xover components). Either Kef made great strides between generations 3 and 4 - or these Q70's were damaged in some way.
I've also heard the newer Q7's and would encourage inmates not to disregard the UniQ drivers because of bobwire's comments. These drivers have a very natural midrange, excellent imaging, and a wide sweet spot. The Q7's sounded much cleaner up high than the vaunted Vandersteen 2CE's when I listened - and at half the price. The bass benefits from a high-current amp though.
