Steve, thanks for your comments. FWIW, I have not fully evaluated the VR-2's with the Rogue switched to Triode, where they would deliver 60wpc (100wpc before clipping according to one print reviewer's measurements). Only having them now for four months I felt it was important to go with what sounded best in the beginning and to experiment later with the Rogues.If my experience with speakers of this sensitivity (I think 87 db 1/w/m) is any indication, I will probably be disappointed, at least in my room, with the lower power, although tonally who knows what might happen!
Funny to me that you ask this, as I almost gave the Rogue's a try in triode mode last night but it was getting far too late.
I will post the results once I do give this a try - maybe even tonight or next weekend.
