I have tried a bit of moving around, as I started my placement with wife aesthetics in mind. That put them way too close to the back wall and corner. With some internet research, I came upon the Cardas website showing how to use the Golden Ratio / Fibonacci sequence to place the speakers and listening position. After trying it, a moving around a bit from those points, I did notice a huge increase in lateral imaging, but the base, though improved, was still overwhelming. I'm beginning to think that I'll have to try some additional measures to minimize the overload.
