I'm so pissed right now


went down to Adelphi this evening to audition and buy a pair of dynaudio contour 1.3s. Was very impressed with the low price the shop owner quoted me. And then, when I asked to audition the speakers, I wasn't allowed to use my own CDs. And I asked very nicely "Is it ok for me to use my own CDs?" and the guy said "Not ok". and that I'd have to use the shop's CDs. He actually said "Not ok" I can't believe how rude the guy was. Then when I asked again why not, he just said that I'd have to use the shops CDs and they don't allow customers to use their own CDs to audition equipment. And when I said "but I dunno what your CDs sound like" he actually said "too bad". This is when I walked out.
*sigh* and I had the impression that the customer is always right. The guy had no excuse for his flippant behavior. And the worst thing, is that they are the only dealers carrying the Contours. So now, I have to do my homework all over again and find some other speakers.
it's just not right.
