Heard the FS788 at the Montreal show this past March, one of the nicest sounding rooms, they were setup with tubes, CDP with a PS audio 600, sorry don't recall (brand) amp or CDP used, but this was one of the three or four best sounding rooms at the show IMO. They were playing jazz and funky instrumental stuff when I was in there, not sure what pop or rock would sound like but from what I heard, I was riveted to my chair. The Revelator tweeter when done right, sounds incredible. The piano burl oak, that yellow/orange cabinetry that Focus use is just glorious. Easily the most beautiful cabinets I have seen in a long time. The pictures at their website do not do them justice, you have got to see them in person. Don't quote me but UHF magazine is doing a piece on the FS688 or it might even be the FS788 in one of their up coming issues, I read that at their web site the other day. Might give you some additional insight into their sound.good listening
