I'm looking for advice on what preamp for my thiel cs3.6
Amps will be odyssey stratos xtreme monoblocks.
I'm thinking of maybe getting a tube preamp but I don't like the idea of the associated costs with it. A passive pre has crossed my mind and of course a solid-state active pre is an option. Preamps I'm considering are the Odyssey Tempest, Placette passive linestage (3 input version), the new remote-controlled preamp from IRD audio, and a tube preamp from dodd audio. The one request I have is that there must be a remote control. Have thiel owners found a tube preamp works better than solid state with a solid state amp? I would like to spend around 1000 dollars. thanks.
