General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I'm thinking of getting one to pair up with my NHT SB1s- tight, linear and possesing a -3db bass response at 75hz. The line-level method would be much more convenient for me than speaker level. Also, speaker level looks to have a rather high 120hz high pass crossover. Would you be very concerned about getting a seamless match with the the sub and a speaker with this limited bass response and no high-pass?
Also, I know Sean H likes the sub without the 30hz bass boost. Any thoughts contrary to Sean's?
