Their hit-making days may be long over without him, but Cetera was an egomaniac toward the end of his tenure. I know someone who was friends with the guys in the late '70s and early '80s, and he said that PC was a real prima donna during that period. Personally, I think the REAL crushing loss for Chicago was Terry Kath. The guy was brilliant, plain and simple, and when he accidentally killed himself, the band lost their edge and quickly devolved into making garden-variety pop schlock with Cetera at the helm.
