A few weeks ago I was in Best Buy picking up tax software. I hadn't bought any CDs in a while, so I browsed about and picked out a few I wanted. One of them, much as I hate to admit it, was Billy Squire's Absolute Hits.As I walked to the checkout, I added up my items in my head as I usually do, just to make sure I didn't get overcharged for anything since a few items were on sale for less than the sticker price. At the checkout, the total was at least $10 less than what I had expected. I didn't think much of it at the time, since BB often has things on sale without marking them as such.
As I got in my car, I thought to myself that $10+ was still a pretty good discount even if everything I bought had rung up for $1 or $2 less than advertised. Upon examining my receipt, I was tickled to find the following line:
7050264 CD
ROCK - ABSOLUTE HITS
REG 10.99 WITH 10.99 DOLLARS OFF = $0Crap - if I had known they were having that kind of sale I would have bought two.
It's a pretty good CD, btw. All the songs you'd expect, only one or two you wouldn't, and the sound quality is excellent for a greatest hits CD.
