If you are brought up to believe you CAN make it, and that that will make you happy and that you will lead a fulfilling life when you've made it and then you do make it... and you are still not happy... or maybe you start to dislike your life...
Did you ever see that rockumentary called something like The Metal Years where the singer from some band was sitting on an inflatable armchair in his pool, still wearing his leather trousers slugging from a bottle of vodka and the interviewer asked how much he drank and he stuttered "2" and she asked "2 fifths or two bottles?" and he looked at his bottle as if he didn't know and then tried to pour the bottle down his throat.
At which point his mother came out from the house and pulled in his armchair...
I have no idea who it was, or even in fact if it was "real", but I can tell you from that moment on I knew i never wanted to get back into the music business.
Now I'm going hunting for that film...
