You can catch a rare television performance of the 13th Floor Elevators performing "You're Gonna Miss Me" on American Bandstand from October 29, 1966. A very young (17 year old) Roky Erickson is singing and playing guitar and harmonica. The performance was buried for decades, supposedly never to be released *, but at least for now you can still watch it online. It is an amazing performance.

* Still lost to time, the post-performance band interview where Dick Clark asks the guys, "Who is the head of this band?" and Tommy Hall answers, "We're all heads, Dick."
