Originality is not what the “suits” want

The “suits” want easy duplication (just like McDonald’s). Simply put it takes too long for a Yes or Fleetwood Mac or Santana or any of the really great artists to emerge. That’s why the “suits” have funneled all the new music toward this “one-hit-wonder”, “American Idol” crap that is being forced onto the “BUYING” public. It takes nothing to find four or five guys or girls, dress them up in some thrift store clothes, give them a jacked up haircut and ta-da instant superstar. They have their one hit, then the companies (record, clothes, shoe, beer) make millions then the so-called “talent” is kicked to the curb for the next new thing. And the majority of the sheepish public just keeps going for it. I mean look at this American Idol garbage. Folks with regular voices at best are being catapulted into short-term superstardom and the ratings for this slop are going through the roof. Yes there are some very good performers out but how many rocks do you have to over turn or how many indie web sites do you have to visit just to find one.
