Hard Road was an original LP with the first 14 tracks of CD disc one. The rest of disc one is composed of one bonus track from the same session and the complete EP Mayall did with Paul Butterfield that I think is essential for fans of either guy.Disc Two actually IS a compilation but only from two discs so if you bought Hard Road, you could skip the discs "Through The Years" and "Looking Back" unless you were a completist. There's also a track that is previously unreleased.
I should also mention "Crusade" as a great Mayall disc in the tradition of the first Bluesbreakers disc but with a very young Mick Taylor on guitar. Excellent.
