I used to think they were just a reflection of record sales. Although I agree with the Dixie Chicks political stance and you don't, I believe we could agree that their winning multiple awards was more a political statement than anything else. I believe it was intended to be a slap in the face of their former fans.As far as awards shows in general, I've seen enough these guys patting each other on the back. Most of the stuff that wins is wretchedly mediocre.
