When the 1986-87 school year started, the Bay Area was hot and dry. The high pressure meant that any fog got pressed to the ground, and did not make it far into the Bay. This was when my classmates and I occasionally heard the quirky "No More 'I Love You's'," by The Lover Speaks.
30 years ago, in May 1995, my girlfriend ACS graduated from UC Berkeley. To her, Annie Lennox's cover of "No More 'I Love You's'" represented the end of college. Nowadays, Bay Area radio stations only rarely play Lennox's "No More 'I Love You's'," and they never play the original.
