10 years ago, I was between jobs, so I took a trip to Hawaii. I stayed at my parents' place in Honolulu, but also made a quick inter-island excursion to Kauai. We decided to spurge, and go on a helicopter tour.

Certain spots of Kauai are best seen from the air.

Interestingly, while we were chilling in our hotel room, some internet radio station played new-to-us "Dorian," by the Smashing Pumpkins. We kind of liked its more new wave feel. And no, we haven't heard it elsewhere. So you gotta find it. But at least that does not require an expensive helicopter tour :-)
