At the end of 1994, my girlfriend ACS and I flew to Las Vegas, for a bowling tournament. While at the hotel, we saw the disturbing video for Marillion's 8-minute-long "Alone In The Lap of Luxury." With the abused woman cutting herself, and getting apprehended, we were creeped out, and feared taking a bath!

Although not for the faint of heart, the music was and is critically-acclaimed.

ACS and I were too early for the 1995 Winter CES! But, home in San Francisco, we went to various audio stores. Because of the somber, adult, yet real-world "Alone In The Lap of Luxury," ACS and I had sober attitudes, while checking out audio gear.
