40 years ago, we were in 8th grade, boys and girls did not really mix, but we all loved music. Duran Duran's "The Wild Boys" got us boys amped up, as we played Dungeons & Dragons and video games.
I will never know how it came about, but one of my classmates had relatives, who lived in San Francisco's Chinatown. They were able to get some of us onto the outdoor rooftop basketball court at the Cameron House (above). It was raining, but "The Wild Boys" fired us up, and with our rubber (not leather) basketballs, we had a blast.
Sadly, as audiophiles, we would never have this much fun. Nevertheless, the music remains, and Duran Duran's "The Wild Boys" still fires you up.
In 1984, the music video was one of the most expensive to produce. Today, it looks kind of crude, but still has its charm.
