10 years ago, I was working at a public high school, serving underprivileged kids. Both staff and students were constantly looking up music, although in different genres and time periods. A guy in IT found Joan Jett & the Blackhearts' then-new "Hard To Grow Up."

After her mom passed away, Joan Jett wrote "Hard To Grow Up." It was about, after losing a parent, having to step up, and be more independent. That's a concept which applies, regardless of one's age.
