This one deserves a special mention for JJ Cale fans. It's 43 minutes of pure fun, but feels like only 30, which usually means a repeat play if nowhere more important to be. Steve Gunn really adds a nice dimension to the music with his guitar playing, and they often let it wander off to where it feels best. Just sounds better and better with each new spin. Time capsule stuff, really no way one could tell when this was recorded, these guys are all at the top of their game here. Brilliant guitar work, very nicely recorded and transferred too, DR11 on the flac download from bandcamp, and the 2013 RSD vinyl was reissued a couple years ago. Not many vocals, but very fine record, highly recommended, and you can tell by the cover from where the inspiration comes ...
