I just read Joel Selvin's "Altamont, the Rolling Stones, the Hell's Angels, and the Inside Story of Rock's Darkest Day." Fascinating story about the events leading up to and on the day of the concert. I realized it was such a downer subject that I'd pretty much put it out of my mind for years, but I'm glad I read it.
