Go see the new Allmans and tell me they ain't no good. Duane may have been great Dickey was good back in the day but the new lineup with Derrick Trucks and Warren Haynes (both superior to Betts) who along with the rest of the band are sober is a better band. I suggest reading Gregg's recently released autobiography, My Cross To Bear" and get some firsthand insight about how bad the band really was (especially Betts) after Duane's demise. Better yet let go of the past and go see the modern band-you won't be disappointed in the talent or the quality of muscicianship.

- I saw them live, twice. Dickey held his own w/Duane. If the current lineup is good, it should stand on its own - tinear 09:17:56 07/21/12 (2)

- In other words, you're a sucker for marketing. A band known for its twin guitar attack loses them BOTH - tinear 18:00:23 07/21/12 (0)
