Not a bad song on the album.
This is a good version of One Of Our Submarines. My favorite version is the original vinyl release. The cd version is different and not quite as good. I believe it might be the radio version on the cd.
Thomas Dolby brings back memories of rushing home from working second shift to catch Michael Tearson's Gorilla Theater at midnight on WMMR in Philadelphia. He was always on the cutting edge and I picked up a lot of new music from his show. A few that come to mind are Dolby, Robert Hazzard and the Heroes, Kate Bush, Lene Lovitch, The English Beat, New Music, Blancmange, Wang Chung, Wall of Voodoo, Billy Idol, Heaven 17, Tears For Fears, The Pretenders, Simple Minds, Pretty Poison and Adam and the Ants.I am sure there are more.
Michael Tearson occasionally reviews music for The Audiophile Voice magazine and is now at WMGK, a classic rock station in Philadelphia. He will always be one of my favorite djs.
