Not the scene, the radio play in the US, the US press and the general popularlity of re-gurga '70s repeats......The British public has always embraced new acts, playing new music that is not as derivative as in the US>.....There aren't as many, if any new Prog-Rock bands or bands that sound like the Wallflowers who copy Matchbox 20 who copy Van Morrison and on and on and on...
In my opinion, the music in the 70s, - with the exception of Eno, Iggy the Velvets and Jonathon Richmon was absolutely the WORST time for music. I was a happy kid when the Sex Pistols came out with their wrecking ball.....
