Clueless post-yuppies who find banal music like this is actually "great" ?Likewise some of the others in their Top Ten.
Predictably John Williams is everywhere, but Hans Zimmer's Gladiator score ??? Horner's Titanic ???
Both have great sonics but are easily bettered musically by true classics like Herrmann's Citizen Kane suite or Steiner's music for Gone With The Wind.
Anyone interested in real classic film music should sample offerings from the RCA Classic Film Scores series, possibly the best ever collection of film music. Originally released in a variety of vinyl pressings (some of which were truly reference quality)and re-released on CD in stereo and in Dolby Surround.More info on the RCAs at:
