Picked up a couple of these from Daedalus Books. Bach with Forrester and the Bach Musical Offering both on Amadeus. Nice sound for CD. Also recommend the Milhaud and Stravinsky disc on Everest. I would guess the sound on most of the newer stuff is excellent. Some of the older SBM titles are a bit off. Not terrible, just not up to the above mentioned. Look for stuff reissued since '97 or so.Are even the best Amadeuses up to the JVC XRCD's? Perhaps not, but the price is certainly right.
