I've heard and have noticed that certain bpms get used over and over again. 128bpm is one that gets used in techno all the time. 98bpm is used in rap all of the time.I've heard that the recording industry conducted tests on human subjects in the 70s to determine what bpm would make people dance. I think the same bpms turn up for a diiferent reason though. More of an interactive reason-DJs Remixes Sound Collages
